Learn the art and techniques of creating perfect and beautiful macarons in 6 different flavors and fillings in this special macarons baking class for "fatcarons" - the Korean variation of the traditional French macaron, overloaded with fillings.
Throughout the class, you will be guided by an experienced instructor who will teach you a range of techniques and skills that will help you create perfect macarons every time. You will start by learning how to make Swiss method macaron shells, followed by tips on how to bake the shells to perfection. You will also learn how to make Italian method buttercream and chocolate ganache, along with a variety of other fillings, such as coconut jam, taro paste, and caramel sauce.
The class will also cover the assembly of the macarons, including how to mix and match fillings, as well as how to decorate and present your creations. By the end of the class, you will have mastered the art of making macarons, and you will be able to take home a dozen of your own creations, including six different flavors, such as coffee chocolate, berry strawberry, and caramel pancake.

We've been sending our team of staffs for team activities since 2019 and it has been not only rewarding but satisfying. It's relatively easy for us to communicate with the person in charge to arrange the workshops and tutors.
The sessions we loved most were by international tutors especially. During MCO, we attended the local tutor workshops as well. There was a time where host decided to throw in a challenge and one of our team members won! It was a giveaway. Our team members are now able to produce good bakes.
Overall, for all the 10+ sessions we attended, they were no hassle at all. As we are in service provider industry, we know it is not easy organizing and handling all the little things, but we thought of dropping by a review here to let Hands On Workshop team know our heartfelt appreciation.

Joined their chocolate tempering workshop, it was fun. I have not much baking experience so it took me some time to catch up with the class progress. Luckily the instructor helped by guiding me patiently when I did mistakes :)
Attended the chocolate and berries tart workshop. Chef Stephanie was clear with her instructions and demonstrations, albeit a little fast pace but she was very patient in answering questions throughout the workshop.
It is beginner friendly as each steps are broken down into smaller steps and demonstrated by the instructor. They have a team of assistants to assist as well if we face any difficulties during the process. Tried the tart and I was pleasantly surprised it's something I made. The shell was thin and crunchy, the chocolate filling was rich and the berry mousse was smooth and not too sweet. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who loves tart and has difficulty baking tart shells like I did.

I love the classes they provided. They used to bring international instructors but since we're entering COVID turns out there's tons of local teachers who are equally good. I went to one of their Mantao classes. Would go again!

Is there an age requirement for your baking classes?
Our baking classes have no set age requirement, and children as young as 12 years old can join!
The only requirement is that students who join are independent and will be able follow the class and recipe without adult/parent supervision.
What can I expect during the baking class?
You will have your own dedicated bench space, copy of the recipe and set of ingredients. An apron will be provided to keep your clothes clean.
You will be working individually in the entire cake baking class, from mixing to baking to decorating.
Our baking class instructor will guide you through every step of the recipe and be on-hand to answer any questions you may have and assist you in the process.
Throughout the class, you are free to take pictures and videos of your own baking lesson experience. We would love it if you tag us on FB or IG @handsonworkshopmy
At the end of the class, you will also receive a Certificate of Completion and can take a picture with your class instructor, with your friends, and around the bake studio.
You can bring the printed recipe home and we'll provide you with a cake box so you can bring your handmade cake home to enjoy with your loved ones.
What do I need to bring to the baking class?
Just bring yourself!
Aprons, equipment and ingredients are provided in the class, and a filtered water dispenser is available in our baking studio.
The recipe will be provided, but you can bring your own notepad and pen to take notes during class.
A cake box is provided so you can bring your handmade product home with you after class. You may wish to bring your own cooler bag to contain it on your transport home.

Sign up for a class online if it's available on our website, or contact us on Whatsapp to secure your booking.
Please note that:
- Class fees must be paid fully in advance to secure your booking.
- Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received.
- No refunds or transfers to another class will be given once the booking is confirmed.
- Your payment will be fully forfeited if you are unable attend the class due to any circumstances.
- If you are unable to attend the class, please arrange for someone else to attend in your place and inform us of their details.

Do you conduct baking classes for kids?
Yes, we do conduct baking and cooking classes for kids aged 5 to 12 years old through LUNA Kids, which is located in PJ.
